Safe soil compaction in heritage protection: Why Stehr plate compactors are the better choice
Anyone working in or on historical buildings knows the problem: The use of a classic single-drum roller is usually strictly prohibited here. The reasons for this are obvious:
- Destructive vibrations: The massive vibrations of a single-drum roller spread deep into the ground and can irreparably damage sensitive building structures (old foundations, stucco, vaults).
