The Revolution in Soil Stabilization
The dust-free Stehr SBF 24-6 system is an environmentally friendly, economical, and high-quality solution for soil stabilization. Thanks to its innovative technology, it opens up new areas of application, such as residential areas or airports, while significantly reducing operating costs at the same time.
-
Power transmission & driveDouble-sided belt drive (high speed, reduced torque) instead of a laterally mounted spur gear. Torque generation takes place directly in the milling rotor via an integrated planetary gear.
-
Rear PTORequires a rear PTO with 1,000 rpm for optimal operation.
-
Traction driveThe carrier vehicle requires a continuously variable traction drive (0 – Vmax).
-
Approvals & OptionsComplies with TRGS specifications. A water spray bar and street homologation are optionally available.
System Advantages & Features
Environmental protection and safety through dust-free operation
Emission-free operation: The binder (e.g., lime or cement) is applied directly inside the closed housing of the milling machine and immediately mixed into the soil. No dust is generated.
Use in sensitive areas: Thanks to the dust-free operation, the system can easily be used near residential areas, schools, hospitals, moving traffic, parked cars, or at airports, where conventional, dust-generating methods are often prohibited or problematic.
Weather independence: Work can also be carried out in windy conditions, as the binder is not blown away.
Protection of operating personnel: Dust exposure for workers on the construction site is drastically reduced.
Cost efficiency and economic viability
One less vehicle required: A separate spreader vehicle is not necessary. The carrier vehicle (tractor) not only pulls the milling machine but also carries the binder in the integrated container (6 m³ capacity).
No material loss: The binder is applied exactly where it is needed – in the soil. No material is lost due to wind drift.
Avoidance of cleaning costs: Contamination of the surrounding infrastructure (roads, buildings, vehicles) by cement or lime dust is eliminated, as are the associated cleaning costs.
High energy efficiency: According to the manufacturer, Stehr machines require up to 50% less fuel than conventional systems. Amortization is often achieved through fuel savings alone.
Improved quality of soil stabilization
Precise dosing: The binder is precisely dosed via a hydraulically driven rotary valve. Optionally, an on-board computer can control and document the amounts of binder and water down to the gram.
Homogeneous mixing: The variable mixing chamber adapts to the milling depth. The deeper the milling, the larger the mixing chamber becomes, resulting in a more intensive and homogeneous mixing of the material. This prevents the formation of binder "nests", which could represent weak points in the soil.
Optimal material structure: The efficient mixing technology achieves a better material structure, which increases the load-bearing capacity and lifespan of the stabilized soil.
