SBF 24-6 dust-free soil stabilization system

The Stehr SBF 24-6 dust-free system is an environmentally friendly, economical, high-quality solution for soil stabilization. Thanks to its innovative technology, it opens up new application areas, such as residential areas or airports, while significantly reducing operating costs at the same time. The system is used successfully worldwide and, as the only one of its kind, meets both the strict requirements of BG Bau leaflet C478 and the TRGS requirements for dust minimization.

  • Power transmission: Double-sided belt drive (high-speed, reduced torque) instead of a side-mounted spur gear transmission.

  • Torque build-up: Directly in the milling rotor via an integrated planetary gearbox

  • Binder volume: 6 m³

Tractor requirements:

  • Rear PTO: 1,000 rpm

  • Travel drive: continuously variable 0 – Vmax

Optional: Water spray bar. Road approval available on request.

Environmental protection and safety through dust-free operation:

  • Emission-free operation: The binder (e. g. lime or cement) is applied directly inside the mill’s closed housing and immediately mixed into the soil. No dust is generated.

  • Use in sensitive areas: Thanks to dust-free operation, the system can be used without difficulty near residential areas, schools, hospitals, moving traffic, parked cars, or at airports, where conventional, dust-generating methods are often prohibited or problematic.

  • Weather independence: Work can be carried out even in windy conditions, as the binder is not blown away.

  • Protection of operating personnel: Dust exposure for workers on the construction site is drastically reduced.

Cost efficiency and profitability:

  • Eliminates the need for one vehicle: A separate spreading vehicle is not required. The carrier vehicle (tractor) both pulls the mill and carries the binder in the integrated hopper (6 m³ capacity).

  • No material loss: The binder is applied exactly where it is needed – in the soil. No material is lost due to wind drift.

  • Avoidance of cleaning costs: Contamination of surrounding infrastructure (roads, buildings, vehicles) by cement or lime dust is eliminated, as are the associated cleaning costs.

  • High energy efficiency: According to the manufacturer, Stehr machines require up to 50% less fuel than conventional systems. Payback is often achieved through fuel savings alone.

Improved soil stabilization quality:

  • Precise metering: The binder is metered precisely via a hydraulically driven rotary valve. Optionally, an on-board computer can control and document the binder and water quantities to the gram.

  • Homogeneous mixing: The variable mixing chamber adapts to the milling depth. The deeper the milling, the larger the mixing chamber becomes, resulting in more intensive and more homogeneous mixing of the material. This prevents the formation of binder “nests”, which could represent weak points in the soil.

  • Optimal material structure: Efficient mixing technology achieves a better material structure, increasing the load-bearing capacity and service life of the stabilized soil.
