The Stehr company from the upper Hessen town of Schwalmtal was the first to deal with the issue of soil replacement during trenching and canalization projects. The friendly cooperation with a number of large companies that operate in this sector and an immense investment of time and money are what has made Stehr so successful in this field. Stehr is pleased to put this device on the market right in time for construction season so that you can use it in combination with the Stehr-Recycler to solve many of your challenging problems and help make your business even more successful.
Stehr attachments can be used to process the typically large amounts of soil removed when doing excavation and foundation work so that in most cases it can be reused directly on site. The Stehr-Recycler crushes rocks, old concrete pipes, asphalt and waste building material, and can blend in binders at the same time. Then the new Stehr-Screener Shovel (or SSS), a recent development from the Stehr company, screens the material to your specifications. This Screener Shovel was built in response to the wishes fo several customers who until now had been using conventional shovel separators. The engineers at Stehr took a close look at the shovel separator‘s high rate of wear and tear, the major costs that go with it and the often unsatisfactory performance in some applications, and then made improvements to solve these problems.
The Stehr Screener Shovel works on the basis of rotation shafts and is an entirely different system than those familiar shovel separators. The shafts are designed to have a shape that ensures the material to be screened is always thrown upwards a few centimeters. The finer material falls through the grates, below which are mounted special scrapers that continually clean the openings. The Sehr Screener Shovel ist the only one on the market that can satisfactorilly screen to fractions of 0 to 15 mm. By replacing various spacers you can even screen to fractions of up to 20, 25, 36, 50 and 70 mm and inexpensively make all the material you need for the site, right on site. This puts an end to the high costs involved in procuring backfill such as sand or gravel for filling in areas where pipes have been laid. And now there is no need for those enormous stationary screening machines. The processed material is ideal for bedding and enclosing conduits in the pipe zone as well as for making flowable fill or „liquid soil“.
